Donation & Refund Policy.

Your donation

Donations to Bridging Generations are voluntary gifts that fund tuition, meals, books, and educational materials for underprivileged students across the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Tax deductibility

As a registered nonprofit, your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We are not able to give tax advice, so please consult your own tax advisor about your specific situation. Your emailed receipt serves as your record of the gift.

Refunds

Because donations are charitable gifts, they are generally non-refundable — but we know mistakes happen. If you were charged the wrong amount, made a duplicate gift, believe a charge was unauthorized, or simply changed your mind, email us within 15 days of the transaction and we will refund it in full, no questions asked.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. If you don’t recognize a charge from us on your statement, please reach out before disputing it with your bank — we can almost always resolve it faster directly.

Recurring donations

If you set up a monthly (recurring) sponsorship, you can cancel it at any time by contacting us — you will not be charged again after you cancel. Cancelling stops future gifts; it does not automatically refund past ones, though the refund terms above still apply to any recent charge made in error.

Dedications & tributes

When you dedicate a gift in honor or memory of someone, that dedication is reviewed by our team before it ever appears publicly, and you can ask us to keep it private or remove it at any time.

How your gift is used

Gifts directed to a specific student or project are applied to that purpose. Where a student is already fully funded or a need changes, we may apply your gift to the next student or project with the greatest need, so no donation goes unused.
